Field Of Dreams Blog
(in testing)

That was the message that haunted Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams.

It also became the prompt in my decision to open an Agility Training School in November 2006. We rented a 1.5 acre field, bought the equipment and they did come; to enjoy what we feel is the best training in the area for the serious competitor.

Typically clubs offer minimal training to large groups of handlers who often find themselves training at levels, either way above or below their ability. Often instruction is given by handlers only slightly above or of a similar standard to the people they are training.

It was my goal to operate on a different level, offering a structure where handlers were grouped in small classes of similar abilities, where training was offered at every session by competent instructors, each following a similar handling system, and where the atmosphere was both enjoyable and productive.

In the film Doc Graham, played by Burt Lancaster, steps up to the plate, winks at the pitcher and realizes his dream. Like Doc Graham I want to step up to the line of a Champ class, and see if I can cut it. The field has helped me towards that dream, it can help you towards your Agility dreams and ambitions.
